Time Off: Anniversary/tenure accrual
complete
Nathanel Creson
Currently, separate policies need to be created for employees who earn a specific time off balance at year 1, year 2, year 3, and so on.
This feature would allow admins to set up those rules in one policy so that when a user's anniversary arrives, they will automatically earn more time off instead of moving them manually between the different policies.

We’re excited to share a new tenure setup option within your Time Off settings! 🎉
With this update, admins can now define tenure-based rules directly within a single time-off policy across the Accrual cycle settings, Carryover limits, and Yearly accrual limitations. Entitlements are automatically updated once employees reach predefined tenure milestones, eliminating the need to create separate policies or move users manually.
Check out the screenshots below to see exactly where to configure these new settings in your dashboard!
We’d love to hear your feedback! Feel free to reach out to our Product team at tali.rochwerg@connecteam.com.
Thank you for your votes and feedback! 🚀

Jeremiah Ruth: Hi Jeremiah! Thanks for sharing your feedback. As of now the tenure is for the accrual of the balance only, but in future phases we have plans to add it to the max balance and max usage limitations as well! :)

Micah Lansford: Hi Micah! Tenure is based on the employee's start date, so the system tracks how long they've been with the company.
That said, you can configure accruals in different ways depending on your policy. For example, full-time employees can receive a fixed amount each year based on tenure, while part-time employees can accrue time off based on hours worked.
This allows you to support different policies for full-time and part-time employees while still using tenure as the basis for eligibility or accrual tiers.
This is an example of what that would look like when set to 'earned per hour':
